We started in Saudi Arabia in 2016 as “Surface Al Maktab” — a small software office building systems for businesses.
With every project, we saw the same truth: small and medium businesses did not lack tools. Their challenge was fragmentation — one provider for the system, another for the website, and a third for marketing, each working in isolation.
We decided to become the complete answer. Under one roof, we built a team spanning consulting, software, design and content. Then we made a bold decision: we moved the entire team to Cairo, home to one of the region’s deepest technology talent pools, so we could deliver Gulf-grade quality at a smarter regional cost and serve clients across the Gulf and Egypt from our Nasr City offices.
Over a decade, we have delivered more than 45 live, meaningful projects: apps serving pilgrims in Makkah, systems for Saudi associations, and platforms for property companies, restaurants and manufacturers. Implementing both Odoo and ERPNext, and paid a commission by neither, we continue in the direction we believe in — building Arabic technology products, led by Almadrasa. We are BDC: we advise, build, operate and market, with one integrated Arabic technology team.
